WHICH PANEL TO YOU PICK?

View our handpicked range of Manufacturers, these are panels we have been offering our customers for years without any issues relating to quality, after sales warranty support or quality. Some would say, this is our tried and tested range! Should you like us to install your system but have a panel in mind that is not listed, feel free to ask as we can source any panel you are interested in. Should we perceive any issues with your personally selected panel we will be up front and honest about why we would recommend an alternative option.

All panels below come with a 25 Year parts warranty and 25 + Year performance guarantee in the residential range. Panels in the larger capacity are intended for Commercial installations and come with an industry standard 12 year parts warranty. However these panels are often used for smaller properties where roof space is limited and an increase of generation is required over smaller modules.

LETS BREAK DOWN THE MOST COMMON
INDUSTRY TERMS

png-person-thinking-thinking-woman-tongue-png-400.png

DUAL GLASS

Dual glass solar panels feature two layers of tempered glass, providing enhanced durability and performance compared to traditional single glass panels.

Benefits: They are less prone to deformation and microcracks, making them ideal for harsh weather conditions.

Construction: The dual glass design replaces the back sheet with a second layer of glass, which improves strength and longevity.

PV - Photo voltaic

Professionals use this term when discussing solar panels as it is the reference to the process in which your solar panels generate power.

Essentially your panels absorb UV then convert the electrons to DC [Direct current] through a Photo Voltaic process.

PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE

This relates to the degradation or, lifespan of the given product. You will find some manufacturers offer well over the industry standard of 80% at 30 years. Essentially, the manufacturer will indicate how long your investment will deliver power within a set scale of degradation from UV Exposure over the life of the product. When picking your panel it's important to pick a large player in the industry so you have a better chance that they will be around in the long run to honour the performance warranty.

BI FACIAL

This relates to the panels construction, while there are still panel manufacturers that use single sided panels [with the traditional white backing] many have opted to do away with the white backing with an all-glass design. The all glass design can do a couple of things for your new solar array, the first is increase the generation of the panel, by allowing light to hit the back of the panel this can lift up its efficiency rating. This is more prominent on arrays using tilt racking on a reflective roof space or a ground mount array. The deletion of the backing can also help with longevity as should the white backing be breached this can lead to hot spots forming.

N Type VS P Type

Most P-type and N-type solar cells are the same, featuring slight and very subtle manufacturing differences for N-type and P-type solar panels. In this section, you will learn about the difference between these two, why P-type solar panels became the norm in the industry and the advantages of N-type solar panels.

Structure difference between P-type & N-type solar panels

The  absorber layer of the solar cell, features an N-type and a P-type c-Si wafer, with a varying order for the layers. One of the layers is called the bulk region and it is thicker than the emitter, which is placed on top of the bulk region. The variation in which wafers are placed is what makes the solar cell to be an N-type solar cell or a P-type solar cell.

At the end of the day, most panel manufacturers are extremely close in cell efficiency these days that the differences in overall generation would be minimal.  Going with a panel that is built solid, has great impact resistance and has a warranty that can be backed is far more important that squabbling over a few percent in efficiency.

LATEST TECH HI MO X-10

Longi has introduced a new cell technology referred to HPBC 2.0. Hi-MO X10 sets a new benchmark in solar panel performance with an impressive power output of up to 670W. Designed to meet the demands of high energy density projects, these panels deliver an unmatched energy production, making them a game-changer for every type of installation scenario. With the addition of the new TaiRay wafer, it achieves a new level of safety, reliability and longevity.

LONGi’s back contact modules wake up early and go to bed late. This is due to their high cell efficiency. They are engineered to capture more energy from the same amount of available sunlight, even in low light conditions. As a result, they outperform conventional solar modules.

Their all NEW HPBC 2.0 Design also makes it a great contender for locations that have soiling or shading issues due to its revolutionary Biipolar Hybrid Passivation.
